Nine things that make a rented kitchen look expensive

Nothing here is renovation. Every item comes out with you when the lease ends, and the whole list lands under what a single cabinet refacing quote would cost. I have used all nine in two rentals.

The short version

Pick Best for Price Our take Link
Enameled cast iron Dutch oven Slow braises and bread $70-95 Holds heat like the expensive French one at a third of the price. The lid is heavy enough to seal without foil.
Keurig K-Mini
Keurig
Counters with no room $70-100 Less than five inches wide, the slimmest brewer Keurig makes. In a kitchen where counter space is the constraint, that is the only spec that matters. View
Handheld milk frother Building a coffee bar $15-25 The cheapest thing on this site that changes a daily habit. Whisks cold foam in about twenty seconds.
Cuisinart Premium Single-Serve Brewer SS-10
Cuisinart
People who drink it black $100-140 The one that fixes thin pod coffee. You set the brew temperature and the size, which is the difference between coffee and hot brown water. View
Glass meal prep container set Fridge that photographs well $35-45 Glass instead of plastic means it goes oven to fridge, and the lids actually seal after a year of dishwashers.
Nespresso VertuoPlus by Breville
Nespresso
Short, strong, crema on top $150-200 A different drink entirely. If what you want is espresso rather than a mug of coffee, nothing else here comes close. View

What I would skip

Matching canister sets in acrylic yellow within a year. Open shelving in a kitchen you actually cook in collects grease. And any appliance that only does one thing unless you do that thing weekly.
