This page explains what happens to your information when you read Luevella Co. It is written in plain language rather than legal language, and it describes what this site actually does rather than everything a website could theoretically do.

Who runs this site

Luevella Co is run by one person. You can reach me through the contact page.

Affiliate links and how they work

This is the part that matters most, because it is the only tracking on this site that exists for my benefit rather than yours.

Luevella Co participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you click a link to Amazon from this site, Amazon places a cookie in your browser recording that the visit came from here. In Amazon’s case that cookie lasts 24 hours. If you buy something in that window, Amazon pays me a commission. The price you pay is identical either way.

What that cookie does not do: it does not tell me who you are, it does not tell me what you bought, and it does not follow you around the internet. My Amazon reports show totals and product categories, never names. Amazon’s own privacy notice governs what they do with the data once you are on their site.

You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which guides people read. It records pages viewed, the site you arrived from, approximate location by country or region, and the type of browser and device you used. It is aggregate data and I cannot identify individual readers from it.

The contact form

If you write to me through the contact form, I receive your name, your email address and your message. I use that to reply and nothing else. It is not added to any mailing list, and it is never sold, shared or passed on.

Where the site is hosted

Luevella Co is hosted by Hostinger. Like every web host, their servers keep standard access logs. Their privacy policy covers what they do with those.

Embedded content

Pages may occasionally include content from other websites, such as a video. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited that other site directly, and those sites may set their own cookies and track your interaction with what they have embedded.

Your rights

You can ask what personal information I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. You can unsubscribe from email at any time using the link in any message. Use the contact page and expect a reply within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA. Ask and I will honour them regardless of where you are.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If what this site does with your information changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top will tell you when.
